JOIN DOTTY BY DESIGN AT INTERACTION HQ FOR SOAPMAKING
Refresh, rebalance and reset: at Bath’s reBalance Festival of Wellbeing.
Dotty has partnered with Bath's design studio 'Interaction' to run a Handmade Soap Making Class.
Rebalance and relax in the fabulous new state-of-the-art Interaction Events Space - set in the beauticully renovated distillery building in the centre of Bath. Learn about essential oils, aromas and soap basesand their natural beauty benfits in this practical class.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Enjoy a crafty and sociable class, learning how to make a choice of Shea Butter and Aloe-Vera Soaps, finding out about the beauty benefits of the natural ingredients and essential oils that you'll add to your individual soap bars and design.
Dotty will show you step-by-step how to add natural colours and aromas to your soap mixture, combining ingredients with Shea butter and Aloe-vera Soap bases before adding exfoliants and petals for that finishing touch! You will select your own flavours and aromas designing your own set of four soap bars.
Shea butter has been used for centuries for a reason, to soften the skin and make a gentle soap. This class uses only the very best Soap bases from Shea Butter to Clear Aloe. So prepare to learn the cooking techniques, how to prepare a soap base and how to heat and monitor temperatures.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS WORKSHOP?
Choose from a selection of 12 natural colourants and experiment with marbling and layering colour. You will be selecting from 10 or more essential oils to fragrance the soap, as well as herbs and flowers that add to the dermatological properties in the bar.
As for shape it doesn’t have to be round, square or oblong, in this class you can pretty much select any style you fancy from Dotty's extensive collection of soap bar moulds.
THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS
We will provide all the kit needed for this workshop. The class will run for approx. 90 mins at Intraction Headquaters in Bath.
