Handbuilt Pottery Spoons and Spoon Rests Class at Metta Coffee inside Avant GardenAges: 13 and older

Join Rum River Art Center at Metta Coffee located inside Avant Garden Bookstore for a Valentine's edition of handbuilding. You and your date, buddy, or pal will be guided in making a ceramic spoon and spoon rest set together. One of you will have the opportunity to focus on the spoon, and the other will craft the spoon rest - engaging you in creative teamwork! After sets are constructed, students will use underglaze to decorate their creations and will have the option of carving in linework to additionally unify their objects. No prior experience is required!
We can hold these events due to the extremely generous donation from Metta Coffee allowing us to use their cafe space to make art.
Your work will be ready for pickup in about 2-3 weeks. You will receive an email notifying you when your work is ready for pick-up. It is your responsibility to retrieve your pieces within 14 days after they are fired at Rum River Art Center (2665 4th Ave. Suite #103, Anoka). This class is great for kids, great for adults, great for the whole family!
