This unique Ukrainian folk art, recognized by UNESCO, is celebrated through original artwork and immersive workshops that invite individuals of all ages and backgrounds to explore its rich heritage. Olena Chorna Fine Arts offers a variety of art classes and workshops for individuals, corporate clients, and families, featuring both Fine Arts and Petrykivka Folk Art.
Workshop Overview
1. Introduction – The session begins with an introduction to Olena Chorna, providing a brief history of her experience and education in both Fine Arts and Petrykivka painting.
2. Overview of Petrykivka Art – Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of Petrykivka, a UNESCO-recognized Ukrainian folk art style, which will be used to create beautiful Christmas ornaments during the workshop.
3. Demonstration – Olena will demonstrate one-stroke painting techniques, teaching participants how to create traditional brush strokes for leaves and flowers.
4. Practice – Participants will then practice these strokes on paper, starting with leaves and flowers, and will begin to paint floral patterns.
5. Ornament Painting – Once comfortable with the technique, participants will transfer their designs onto a Christmas ornament, adding glitter and other finishing touches. Each participant will receive a ribbon for their ornament and will take home their hand-painted creation.
Olena Chorna Fine Arts provides all materials needed for a creative and memorable experience, ensuring participants can enjoy the process of learning and creating a beautiful piece of Ukrainian folk art.
