About this Event
Four-day workshop over four weeks: Wednesdays, February 12, 19, 26, & March 12, 6-9 pm.
In this workshop for beginners and intermediate woodworkers, you will learn the steps of making hand-cut dovetails for boxes, cases, and many other wooden pieces. You will learn layout, cutting and chopping dovetails with hand tools to make a small wooden step stool. You may bring your own chisels, but Factory 3 will provide all needed tools, and the class will begin by learning to sharpen hand tools.
About the instructor:
Annalise Rubida is a fine furniture maker from Port Townsend, Washington. She loves combining machine and hand-tool woodworking practices and is just as happy with a drawknife as she is a table saw. With a background in fine furniture and chairmaking, Annalise's own work focuses on functional and sculptural pieces that bring joy to use. Her goal in teaching is to create an environment where people have the guidance and comfort to experiment with new concepts and grow their love for woodworking.
