📌Who is this class suitable for?Ages 16+
Experience is not necessary, it is for all abilities.
📌What will be covered:
Join ceramicist Andrew Macdermott as he guides you through the process of creating your own hand built vase out of clay.
You will be taught the fundamental techniques used when hand building in clay and be guided through the build process, before decorating your vase using coloured slips.
Your vase will need to dry completely before being bisque fired. A transparent glaze will be applied before they are fired again resulting in your finished piece which will be ready to collect approx. 4 weeks after the workshop.
📌What will students leave with?
Students will leave with a unique hand built and decorated vase, transparent glazed, ready to collect 4 weeks after the workshop.
📌What will I need to bring?
Materials and aprons are provided.

The Barn at Milton Keynes Arts Centre, Great Linford, Parklands MK145DZ
Tools are all light and accessible. Work benches are not currently height adjustable.
