Hanami Picnic in Nelson – Hosted by the Nelson-Miyazu Sister City AssociationCome and enjoy a traditional Japanese Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) with the Nelson community! Bring your own tasty lunch and picnic under the beautiful blooming sakura.
Our celebration program starts at 1:00 PM – everyone is welcome!
Feel free to wear a yukata or Japanese-style costume.
We’ll finish with a fun traditional Miyazu dance that anyone can join.
Supported by Nelson Japanese Society and JapaNZ Kids.
※Please take your rubbish home. There will be no food stalls. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, September 28.
