Join the Hampton Roads Philharmonic as we open our 13th performing season on October 19, 2025, at 2:30 pm with a program of orchestral song and dance at the historic American Theatre in Phoebus, Virginia.This program highlights three collections: Grieg’s spirited Norwegian Dances, brimming with folk-inspired tunes; Bizet’s powerful and dazzling L’arlesienne Suite 2; and a lesser-heard gem in Faure’s Shylock Suite, brought to life by soprano Kathryn Kelly. Elgar’s dreamy Chanson De Nuit and a fiery furiant from Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances round out the program.
Audience members at this performance will have the opportunity to raffle for our Golden Baton to guest conduct Sleigh Ride in December!
