This October will see Australian Gold Coast locals, HAMMERS, storm the New Zealand shores for the first time, as part of their ‘It’s a Small World’ Tour. This voyage across the Pacific to our sister nation holds a very special place in the heart of HAMMERS, all members having a special bond to the people of the land traditionally known as Aotearoa, via ties to both lifelong friends & family heritage.�Although HAMMERS wear the disarming bluster of illegal fireworks, shit meat pies & beer fuelled skullduggery like an 80’s Rugby Guernsey - acceptance, compassion, diversity & unification among all the world’s inhabitants burns bright in the heart of the 5 scallywags that complete the band.�
Delivering their riffs to their Maori & Kiwi brothers & sisters has been high on the priority list for a looong time. So, to celebrate all things unity, they have invited adored Maori reo rua (bilingual) rapper Swizl Jager to join forces with them on all three shows, in what will be an epic collision of the baddest riffs and the meanest rap, heard this side of anywhere.�
This seemingly unlikely collaboration is a result of conversations between HAMMERS & Swizl, directly related to the challenges of bonding over our differences, breaking down barriers and celebrating diversity between countries, people, art forms and obviously music itself.�
