We are thrilled to announce that KHS and Louisville Metro Animal Services are teaming up for Hammer's Lou Adopts, our second annual mega adoption event, sponsored by Isaacs & Isaacs Personal Injury Lawyers! Hammer's Lou Adopts will offer on-site adoptions at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center Pavilion on Saturday, May 11 from 12 – 4 p.m. After finding homes for 115 dogs at last year’s event, our group has their eyes set on even higher numbers this year!KHS and LMAS will be joined at Hammer’s Lou Adopts by Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue, Anderson County Care & Control, Animal Care Society, Hardin County Animal Care & Control, The Humane Society of Oldham County, Jeffersonville Animal Shelter, MisPits and Friends and Shelby County Animal Control & Shelter to offer the public a large variety of friendly, loving adoptable local dogs and puppies.
Adoption fees will vary by participating shelters, and Jefferson County adopters will be required to pay a $10.50 licensing fee. All available dogs and puppies will be spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. For more details, visit www.kyhumane.org/louadopts. We can't wait to see you there!
