Join us for William Shakespeare’s Hamlet like we guarantee you’ve never experienced it before…. “Hamlet/Black Parade” is a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic by Hannah Fogler that weaves the Bard’s text and My Chemical Romance’s “The Black Parade” album together to create a production that celebrates both. Part Shakespeare performance and part rock concert, “Hamlet / Black Parade” is an evening of theatre and music like no other.
Coming to you live from The Mercury Theater in Baltimore on October 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 at 8pm each night. But wait, we are also going on the road like any great rock band should. On October 5th at 6pm we’ll be presenting the show at Boordy Vineyards in Hydes, MD, and then on October 8th at 8pm we’ll be at the beautiful Cloisters Castle in Timonium, MD. Each of these one-night performances will give you a chance to experience this awesome event in an even more unique surrounding.
Content Warning: This production depicts emotionally abusive relationships (romantic and familial), consensual and non-consensual violence in relationships, suicidal ideation, and on-stage violence, self-harm, and suicide.
Theatrical Effects: haze/fog, stage cigarettes/blunts, flashing lights, loud sounds, and very loud music.
The run-time for this production is approximately 2 and a half hours including one 15-minute intermission.
