Welcome to the first Hamilton Software Test Professionals Meetup of 2026: Tough Times Create Tough Testers – Where it went wrong and how we fixed it.
Hosted by the great team at Company-X, our focus this time is on the resilience and problem-solving capabilities of the testing community. Stories of what went wrong (including what was wrong when we started 😊) and what was done to fix it, so the community can borrow proven remedies and avoid repeat mistakes. Our plan is short fire stories from the community:
- Context & constraints
- What went bad (symptoms, impact)
- Root cause(s) discovered
- The fix (process, tooling, people changes)
- Evidence of improvement (metrics, anecdotes)
- Transferable lesson(s)
Real stories, real fixes, zero blame. Learn the patterns and practices that turned failures into improvements. Maybe even a bit of PTSD release and counselling.

Timing:
- Event opens at 4:30pm for sign over drinks and nibbles.
- Presentations will be from 5pm to 6pm
- Post Event Networking over drinks and nibbles to 6:45pm.
