North Park is one of San Diego’s hottest neighborhoods—known for its trendy boutiques, art galleries, buzzing bars, craft eateries, and unique local flavor. Now, you can explore this vibrant area in a totally new way with a social twist!
🔍 The Adventure:
Join us for an interactive scavenger hunt meets mystery game, where you'll team up with fellow social group members to unravel the strange tale of Surfer Sammy—a new arrival to San Diego with a not-so-charming reputation.
Your mission: Trace Sammy's steps around North Park, collect clues, and solve the mystery of his sudden disappearance.
🗺️ How It Works:
- 6:30 PM – Check in at URBN North Park
- We’ll assign you to teams of 4–6 people (or bring your own team!)
- Each team receives a clue sheet and has 75 minutes to explore the neighborhood
- Clues are hidden in plain sight—on signs, in shops, restaurants, and bars. You may also need to take photos or bring back small items
- Work together to uncover what really happened to Surfer Sammy by the end of his wild day

📖 The Story:
Surfer Sammy recently moved from the Bay Area to San Diego—but his rude, lazy, and callous ways haven’t changed. In one fateful day spent wandering North Park, Sammy interacts with the locals, stirs up drama, and eventually vanishes.
Your challenge: Piece together the events of his day and figure out what went down.

- Discover clues built into the fabric of the neighborhood (existing signs, decor, menus, etc.)
- Snap creative photos
- Collect fun items to bring back
- Work as a team to solve the mystery!
