The last GLOW PADDLE of the 2024 season.. HALLOWEEN THEMED special edition. ALL ARE WELCOMED!
Let’s end this season with a bang and get creative with this last paddle! Hope to see some fun “glowing” costumes!
PFDs/Lifevests ARE REQUIRED and MUST BE WORN for this event. This is due to the time of year requirement.
Where?
This will take place at the haycock launch at Lake Nockamixon state park. It will be the first launch on Mountain View road, when coming from route 412. Using google maps you should be able to search “haycock boat launch”.
What?
This is a sunset/night paddle. Please bring lights for yourself for it gets very dark on this paddle. Please also bring a few glow-sticks (or a bunch) that you can attach to your boat, this makes it tons of fun once the sun is fully down. We prefer to paddle with just glow sticks this way we can embrace the Ambience of the dark lake with the fun colors! Of course still have regular lights for other boats, docking, etc.
When?
Feel free to arrive before the meet up time. Sunset is typically 30min from meet up time. (Keep in mind the more glow sticks the longer it takes to get set up)
For late arrivals and waiting for the sun to set we typically get on the water 30min after the event start time.
If you can’t make those times that’s okay, get there when you can. It will be very easy to find us on the lake- paddle towards the glowing lights! We typically paddle to the right once you put in.
