Why do children have all the fun at Halloween?
Join award-winning performance storyteller Jason Buck, for his one man show of traditional ghost and horror stories, in the atmospheric setting of Foundry Wood. Bring a tsome treats, wrap up and cosy down with your favourite tipple or thermos, while Jason brings to life - or brings back to life - the characters from tales too dark for kiddies' shows.
(Although, if you'd prefer that, he'll be doing a lighter show for families in the afternoon, here.
Ages: Adults and teens (13+)
"It was a fantastic evening. Just love the way Jason leads his audience into the stories with actions and expressions, which build atmosphere. Looking forward to the next time!" Denise, Shropshire.
"Jason Buck is a man made of myth, magic and mead. His stories are filled with adventure, his beard is full of unexpected twists and his tankard filled with a poet's brew. Sit around the fire and listen to his tales - you won't be disappointed." Abbie, Strange Times Storytelling Club
I MPORTANT...
Foundry Wood is an open air woodland site and there are some things you need to consider when you visit:
Entrance / exit time: As the site will be closed to the public during the show, the gates will be locked 5 minutes before the start, and late entries cannot be admitted, and refunds cannot be given. People will be able to leave at any time, if required, as volunteers will be on hand.
Parking and accessibility: Please see the wood's website here www.foundrywood.co.uk/location
Seating: Some log stump seats and rustic benches are provided, but you may wish to bring camping chairs for extra comfort.
Lights / lighting: There is no artificial lighting in the woods so, while the performance area will have light and the paths will be illuminated with small lights, it is recommended to bring a torch or use your phone's light.
Clothing: Please dress for the weather, the time of year, and for being in a woodland (flat shoes are recommended). If the event can't go ahead because of bad weather, your ticket will be refunded in full.
Refreshments: There are no facilities for refreshments at the woodland, other than a drinking water tap, near the entrance. Feel free to bring your own to enjoy before or during the show (just be mindful of noisy packaging and cans).
Toilet facilities: There is one eco toilet on-site. Paper and hand sanitiser is provided, but you may wish to bring your own as well.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in or near the performance area.
