Have you ever wondered what might be lurking down in London's sewers? Listen to the terrifying tale of the Rat of Crossness in the spooky surroundings of the 160-year-old Beam Engine House. Then, explore if you dare ... and maybe even spot the rat for yourselves!
This is a live storytelling of The Rat of Crossness – an original story by Oscar Nearly, performed by Sally Edwards in the Beam Engine House.
Our narrow-gauge railway will be magically transformed into a ghost train, and you can learn all about how the Victorians celebrated Halloween with apple bobbing, fortune telling, and even mummy unwrapping!
This event is intended for primary school aged children. Under-fives will be admitted, but the activities may not be suitable for them. Adult-only groups will not be admitted.
