** HALLOWEEN 2024 CAMPING AT DISNEY'S FORT WILDERNESS ** SPACE IS LIMITED **
Hey Friends, I am excited to announce that we are planning our group for Halloween Camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness for 2024!
We will be doing PRE-HALLOWEEN WEEKEND & HALLOWEEN FUN.
If you have not been before this is the Holy Grail of Halloween - it is by far the most incredible camping experience that you will ever have and is something that we have to plan almost 2 years in advance to get in.
Here are the details:
THE MOST SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN OF ALL TIME!
This is by far my favorite event of the year. The Fort at Halloween is beyond amazing, and more than anything it is because it is the CAMPERS that make it Magic.
There are over 800 campsites and every single one of them decorates their sites and goes above and beyond in creating this experience for families and kids. You can decorate your site regularly, with inflatables or go all out like some of the families who literally bring in U-Hauls of decorations and spend days building replicas of Jurassic Park, the Fort Wilderness Train, Chip and Dale Singalong, Pirate Ships, Princess Castles, Star Wars, and the famous Haunted Mansion. Campers build stages and bring in bands, there was a site that was Day of the Dead and they brought in a LIVE MARIACHHI BAND that played, last year there was a site that was an ode to things that had died and they literally built an entire Blockbuster Video Store (with like 5,000 VHS tapes), they built the upside down world and had a band from Stranger Things - the decorations that these campers put on rival any theme park. It is the most fun experience you will ever have and so hard to explain until you experience it for yourself 🙂
Our group and the campers who go are so much fun and beyond generous. There are scavenger hunts for the kids, gifts left all around the park that you drive around in your golf cart to find.
We spend all day at the pool swimming, going down the water slide, dancing and doing games and Trivia, and every night roasting marshmallows at the campfire singalong with Chip & Dale, doing the movie in the park, playing at the playground near the beach,w watching the light up boat parade and the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.
We go 'looping' every day and night - this is where you drive around all of the loops (all 800 sites) and see the decorations, chalk, and write your name and site number on your favorites and they will come and do the same to you. Campers pass out trinkets and treats to the kids, bows, pins, and trinkets, one site last year was a Carnival theme and they gave out cotton candy, another had a claw machine set up on their, bowls of candy as far as the eye can see. It's amazing.
There are pumpkin carving contests, fun Halloween games and activities, and a golf cart parade that you will not believe your eyes. These campers turn their golf carts into Moana Ships, Pirate Ships, Slinky from Toy Story, Frozen, and Olaf and they shoot out real snow, Magic Kingdom Rides, and so much more. The amount of hard work, hours, investment, and love that goes into this - it's indescribable and you can see how much everyone comes together just to enjoy the experience and be able to give back to the kids.
Our kids ride bikes all day, scooters, roller-blades, play nerf wars and literally just get to be kids while parents hang out.
It is something that is great for ALL AGES - we have families who camp with littles through teens and everyone loves it.
