Last year's event went so well we are doing it again, and we need YOU even more this year! We want to showcase all of the talented folks in our community by hosting a Holiday Bazaar! There will be a mix of handmade gifts. Think Etsy, i.e. jewelry, apothecary, honey, art, and ceramics are a few things you will see. -----------------------------------------------
Emergency Hub
The second Haller Lake Hub set up and practice session for all our neighbors is scheduled for December 7th at 10 AM, the same time as the Haller Lake Bazaar. While we all hope that an emergency hub is never needed, please stop by for a few minutes to learn about how you and your family might find it helpful in a disaster. Seattle Emergency Hubs is a volunteer driven effort to build upon the Katrina experience and help neighbors more quickly respond in a significant long-term emergency.
--Looking for Volunteers--
We are also still looking for volunteers for the leadership team. With the exception of the radio operator (must have a amateur radio license) and medical officer (must be a health care professional), no experience is required and all training and materials will be provided.
