About this Event
From humble beginnings in her living room with only family members and a woman seeking refuge from the rain, to the holder of the Guinness Book of World Records' "Largest Church Congregation" in 1993 with over 700,000 members, the life story of Choi Jashil, and her impact on the Yoido Full Gospel Church of South Korea, is a story that boldly proclaims the hope she found in Jesus.
Nearly losing her life to suicide after the death of her mother, her daughter, and the loss of her business, Choi Jashil knew desperation all too well. Clinging to the hope shared by a Korean evangelist, Choi Jashil determined to know the purposes God had for her life, and enrolled in Bible college to better understand God's Word. There she met up with her future son-in-law, and together in 1958, they began what grew into the Yoido Full Gospel Church which continues to this day.
