Hala Prep @ Kīpuka

We know that the preparation of hala was a vital part of every weaver's relationship to weaving. You will learn the basics of how to take raw lau and turn it into field kūkaʻa (roll) for storage. The vast majority of lau that are prepped will be used in future community weaving gatherings. Classes are located at Kīpuka in Ward Centre. All ages from keiki to kūpuna are welcome!
