HairSpiracy Presents: I Love My Hair

At HairSpiracy, we believe there are no dumb questions, just curiosity, learning, and love. This is a safe and welcoming space for families to explore, ask questions, and grow together as we talk all about hair.

“I Love My Hair” is a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates every curl, coil, and crown! Hosted by HairSpiracy, this hands-on experience helps kids and parents learn how to care for textured hair with confidence and joy.

Families will enjoy storytime with E.D. Johnson, owner of Sunrise Books, as she shares stories that celebrate hair, identity, and self-expression. After storytime, children are invited to explore and play at The Wiggle Room, complete with slides, swings, and sensory-friendly spaces. While the kids play, parents will have time to focus in and learn from an interactive hair-care lesson with Ms. Angie Parker, who will share practical tips on understanding textures, maintaining moisture, and building confidence in caring for your child’s hair. Angie will also talk about postpartum hair changes, how to navigate them, and ways to maintain healthy routines for yourself and your family.

HairSpiracy will continue the conversation with realistic home routines that fit into everyday life covering gentle maintenance, healthy habits, and simplified care practices that empower families to feel supported and confident. Families can also connect with local vendors, explore books and resources, and discover tools that promote self-care and cultural pride.
