Join us on Friday, November 22nd for Hair, Health and Headwraps, an interactive evening featuring a conversation with Mireille Liong, our current exhibition curator of BAD Hair Uprooted: The Untold History of Black Hair, about her journey as a natural hair advocate, her motivations for creating , and her aspirations for the future.
The evening will also include:
- Q& A session with Liong
- A headwrap demonstration showcasing the art and cultural significance of head wrapping with Pangi wraps handmade by the Maroon people of Suriname, who have a rich tradition of symbolic and meaningful headwraps.
- A holiday hair and fashion show featuring dazzling holiday hairstyles and vibrant fashion presented by top locticians and stylists and paired with curated styles from
BAD Hair Uprooted: The Untold History of Black Hair is on view at The Billie through November 26.
