Throughout history, in every part of the world, hair has been used to convey social status, identity and even political alliance. The impact of hair on cultural expression and heritage is highly significant and this presentation with Lekia Lee will look at what some of those cultural expressions are, what they look like and what they mean, with particular emphasis on the West African country of Nigeria.
