Two ways to help clean up trash from our streams in Hagerstown:Help ACWA collect trash along Hamilton Run! Meet at the Hagerstown Golf course (The Greens) parking lot at 10 am. This is a walking cleanup along the stream from the golf course to downstream as far as we can go. Bags and gloves will be provided.
Wear boots and/or waders if you are willing to get into the water to access trash.
Prefer to float? Creek Cleanup Project is hosting an on-the-water Trash Paddle of the Antietam Creek, starting at Kiwanis Park at 9 am. This cleanup is a paddling event. Some boats are available to borrow or you may BYOBoat. It is highly recommended you have waders or wetsuit due to cold water.
