Hadestown: Teen Edition - Plaza Academy Teen Summer Camp Show!
Enrollment for Plaza Academy's annual Teen Summer Camp show for 2024 is now open. This year we are thrilled to be presenting the recent Broadway smash, HADESTOWN: Teen Edition.
Ages: 13-19
Location: Plaza Academy 221 Mill St and Plaza Main Street Theatre 111 S. Main.
About the show:
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories - that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and Lady Persephone - Hadestown: Teen Edition invites audiences on a journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

9:00 – 9:15 Morning “Homeroom” Assembly
9:20 – 10:15 1st Morning Class
10:25 – 11:20 2nd Morning Class
11:30 – 12:25 3rd Morning Class
12:30 – 12:50 Lunch Break
12:50 – 1:45 Rehearsal/Workshop/Guest Performer
1:50 – 3:00 Rehearsal
Classes consist of Choreography, Acting/Blocking and Music classes.

All performances will be at the Dick Helmcamp Community Performing Arts Theater
Many roles may be double cast. This means the students will share the same part, playing different nights.
