Join us to discuss a literary classic, Marjorie Morningstar by Herman Wouk. We will gather together to discuss the book, the differences between the book and the film, and enjoy a light dinner.We will also look at the differences in the main characters' choices and how different it is today. Book discussion will be led by professional book club facilitator Lauren Marcus Johnson. We encourage you to watch the film before this evening's event.
Lauren Marcus Johnson, a Hadassah Life Member, is currently employed at The J of Metro Detroit as Librarian and Assistant Director of Cultural Arts, implementing the Detroit Jewish Book Fair, Detroit Jewish Film Festival, and Seminars for Adult Enrichment. She is a professional book club facilitator for six private groups, serves on an ad hoc basis for other local book groups, and participates in two book clubs.
