The Gypsy Dynamite deliver an explosion of sounds & melodies: swing jazz from the early days and popular songs in a post-modern jazz style. “A zany mix of Gypsy Swing guitars and Louis Prima madness…guaranteed to bring a smile to your face & an itch to get up and bop around” (Crazy Coqs) Fronted by New York-Italian singer Dom Durner, backed by a bunch of virtuosic Italians (guitarists Giulio Romano & Filippo Dall’Asta, with Daniele Antenucci on drums) with Jonny Gee powering out the double bass, the energy from this group pours off the stage.
The quintet have performed all around Europe & the UK, and London’s best jazz clubs, and played many times to several thousand happy punters on the main stage at Twinwood Festival.“A bunch of ebullient Italian-Americans overtook the stage with a killer version of King Of The Swingers” (Twinwood Festival)
