UK-based Aussie slide guitar maestro Gwyn Ashton comes slamming back to the Club for a trio show with bassist Brenton Firth and drum master Mark Meyer to promote his latest full band album Grease Bucket, and maybe a bit of his solo album Mojosoul.
He's also released a rock single titled "Get Outta Town", collaborating with guest guitarist Richard Fortus from Guns N Roses so that may get a run as well.
The former lead guitarist for Stevie Wright, Swanee and Band of Friends (Rory Gallagher's band) Ashton has previously recorded with members of Icehouse, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Robert Plant's and Gallagher's bands and many more.
Adding to his CV Gwyn has toured with the likes of Status Quo, The Yardbirds, Johnny Winter, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Slade, The Sweet and performed festivals with BB King, Rory Gallagher, Buddy Guy and countless other big names in rock and blues.
