GWB to Mt Greylock- Come Train Like a Pro

Your club is planning a fantastic two-day cycling training ride from NYC/Fort Lee to Mt Greylock in the Berkshires, MA. Which is a distance of a 175 miles from Fort Lee. This training ride is guaranteed to bump up your fitness ! Come train like a pro by just riding and enjoy each other's comradeship ! This ride will be fully supported by a sag van, which will serve as your return transportation from the Berkshires. We will be covering all 175 miles on the first day, the climb to the top of Mt. Greylock is optional. You can ride the full route or part of it. In the event you feel like ending your ride early, notified sag and your bib number will be taken by sag support, when you decide you want to rejoin the group, let the sag team know. Participants can ride the sag van to the finish line or ride the sag for part of the route then get out and finish the ride on their bike. The last leg of the journey finishes on top of Mt Greylock, which is optional, will be 8.5 miles at about 5.5%. We will climb Mt. Greylock the second day, after a warmup.

Day one :

Your Ride Leaders will set the pace for you.

You ride all of 175 miles with SAG vehicle right behind you.

South side and then North side

We will have two drivers, who will share driving responsibilities. They will follow the group, and also wait up the road for the group. Anyone needing repairs, food, and water will message the sag support and wait along the route.

We will have ride captains who will carry radios to be in contact with the sag support at all times.

The van has extra cargo space for bags/gear your own personal nutrition for the ride and bikes, we will also have a bike rack on the back of the van for bikes. Early registrants get their bike stowed in the cargo area of the van. The van will be your return trip back to your pick up destination. Some members can choose to ride a short distance on the return, we will be climbing Mt Greylock on Sunday morning

We have reservations at a local Inn, when you arrive at the inn, you will say you are with Ctg and pay for the night. We have double and single occupancy rooms reserved, you can choose to save money by sharing a room with a member.

The cost of the transportation, fuel, and tolls will be divided equally among members who are participating in this event. We estimate the cost to be $189.99 per person. You will be able to make payments to the club via credit card, paypal, or check/money order (payable to the club). Your payments will be in the form of a donation, which is tax deductible, you will get a receipt, as we are a registered tax-exempt organization with the IRS. The link and more details to follow.
