Fusion is a dance that is created by combining elements of a variety of different dances to make a fun and improvisation partner dance. It is fun for both dancers with experience in other dances and those new to dance due to its simple basic that can be quickly learned and built on.Overview:
We’ll kick off our dance with a beginner lesson and continuation lesson from 8:00-9:00, with music to follow from 9:00-1:00. From master mover to two left feet, we can’t wait to get you on the dance floor!
To encourage growth in our dance community, we’re offering a special deal—attend a lesson and stay for the social for just $12! If you’re only coming for the social, the cover charge is $15 cash (or $15.45 card).
Lesson Details:
Intro to Fusion: In this lesson we will take you through our “survive and thrive” basics, in which we will cover the moves you are most likely to encounter with other dancers during the night. This includes basic patterns, partner connection and pulse. With our help you’ll be ready to join us on the dance floor in no time!
Continuation Lesson:
“Blindfolded Micro” with Carolyn Wakefield
"In Carolyn’s classes, movement becomes an intimate dialogue. Her Blindfold Micro Lesson draws dancers into a deeper awareness of connection and trust. This experience makes space for vulnerability, safety, and discovery.
Note: Blindfolds are optional at any time throughout the lesson. Best to bring your own blindfold, or there will be some available at the lesson."
Music for the evening:
We have a wide variety of music, from Blues, to WCS, to Latin-inspired music. We look for tunes that we can dance a variety of styles, or fuse styles together to. Our DJs will keep you on the floor all night long!
