Join us for this summer special collaboration of Gut-Loving Cookery and Pottery brought to you by the author of the award winning Gut Health 'Nourish to Flourish' cookbook Louise Jones from the multi award winning @fftcookeryschool and Dorset based Ceramicist Tania Ware from @wild fernstudioThis is a carefully created experience day to help support and satisfy your mind, body and soul. Nourishing your body and calming your mind, reconnecting with nature and exploring your creativity, all within the stunning grounds @theretreatnewforest
The day will begin with a Gut-Loving healthy lunches Cookery Class in The Retreat Cookery School
In this hands on cookery class, you'll make -
* Gooey Sweet Potato Falafels
* Sundried Tomato Hummus
* Quinoa layered Buddha Salad Bowl
(Gluten free, dairy free and suitable for a vegan diet)
You'll learn why the ingredients are good for our gut health and pick up top tips along the way.
At lunchtime you will dine together (weather permitting - alfresco) where you will feast on the delicious dishes you created in the morning cookery class. (Plus you'll have more falafels to take home for later!)
The afternoon will begin with a gentle woodland walk to embrace the natural beauty of the summer season and gather creative inspiration along the way.
Finally, you will attend a therapeutic Pottery Workshop in Wild Fern Studio where you will be guided through traditional, handbuilding pottery techniques to create your very own ceramic Buddha Bowl and Dip Bowl to hold your delicious gut-healthy recipes. You will use a selection of tools, stamps and naural materials to uniquely decorate your creations.
A selection of coloured glazes will be available at the end of the session. All fired peices will be ready for collection 6 weeks later or postage to you can be arranged.
All refreshments, ingredients and materials are included.
