Finalists for both 2023 and 2024 Australian Folk Music Awards’ Artist of the Year, Gusto Gusto are dance floor favourites. Hailing from West Preston, a tiny pocket in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, the last two years have seen them storming stages including Glastonbury Festival (UK), Woodford Folk Festival (QLD), Cygnet Folk Festival (TAS), Tablelands Folk Festival (QLD) and Brunswick Music Festival (VIC).We're playing a rare home-town show to release our new single Sunday Scaries, a violin-led pseudo-disco instrumental dance track. Written about the angst of waking up for work after a kick-arse weekend spent enjoying Melboure's vibrant live music scene, Sunday Scaries features a rollicking accordion solo, a butt-load of percussion and clocks in at 134 bpm.
Supported by experimental funk machine Steppers, we've got a big announcement to make at the gig, come along to find out what it is.
