We can't believe its already been 1 year since our first event and we are super excited to celebrate with you all!Get your gun fingers ready for this one. This jam, we have the very talented Cassafran. After we saw her set at the Royal in early December we knew she would fit the Gun Finger Fusion vibe perfectly.
This will also be Mr Mugz Bday set! Help him ring in the big 35 proper! Capital Jungle Founder Pete Shredz will be throwing down as well to help celebrate the first year of shows in Nelson!

Gun Finger Fusion is bringing back the old school feel of raves! This means a focus on longer DJ sets to let the selectors really take you on a journey and focusing on the art of Dj’ing. We support DJ's who are down to earth and who are curating their sets for the pure love of the music. Mr Mugz & Pete Shredz have thrown and played together on countless shows in Ottawa and Quebec since 2013 and are excited to be collaborating again in the Kootenay’s!!

Cass Safran (Cassafran) is a dynamic multidisciplinary artist from Calgary AB now located in Nelson BC, immersed and taught through the vibrant underground electronic scene of Western Canada for over a decade. She has since earned position within the community as a DJ for the last six years through collaborating with collectives such as Hearsay, Silent Tension, ClubHaus, Hifi Club, Cutting Shapes, Window Kids, and more. Her selections that captivate dance floors are intuitive fusions of deep house, dubtechno, minimal, and dub driven chuggers and groovers infused with elements of acid, breaks, jazz moments, and often UK garage. Regardless of genre or overlap, each performance is meticulously curated to suit the unique context of the event and designed and intended to be an offering to the sacred playtime of dance. Beyond DJing, Cassafran explores sensory design, poetry, herbalism, and free skiing, weaving her varied passions into a unique creative entity.
Mr Mugz

Mr Mugz has been growing his passion and honing his skills within the Ottawa electronic music community for 10 years. He got his start playing Hardstyle at a well known and long running event called Deep Frequency Fridays. Challenged by his seasoned peers he built his repertoire and knowledge of new genres. Mugz then moved from Hardstyle to Electro, attracted by the dirty grind and heavy bass. His love for heavy bass then carried through to DubStep which resulted in the birth of the popular duo "The Monkey Brothers" with Rick Woblz Roy. Utilizing his time-tested skills Mugz moved on to Drum & Bass which eventually culminated into the creation of Such Camo - a duo with Pete Shredz. Mugz is now known and respected to many in Ottawa's local community for his energy, playful charm and versatility on the decks. Prepare yourself - this man regardless of the genre will be sure to impress and bring a unique spice to any event.

Pete Shredz’ love for bass music, specifically Jungle & DnB, started at a young age through exposure to jungle music while travelling to the UK and hearing the early sounds of the genre. His energy on the decks is always high, whether on vinyl or digital, and will keep your feet moving.
Since moving out to the Kootenays in 2023, Pete Shredz has brought his high energy mixing into multi genre sets incorporating UK Garage, Baseline, Dubstep, 2-Step, Juke, Footwork and more alongside his regular full 360 of Jungle and Dnb! Shredz has kept Capital Jungle alive, now working with Mr Mugz and putting on events dubbed “Gun Finger Fusion” to help revive the old school feel of raves. This means a focus on longer DJ sets to let the selectors really take you on a journey and focusing on the art of Dj’ing which includes vinyl sets that will make sure you keep your gun fingers high in the air all night.
