Welcome to Gumbofest 2024!

Come join us at Ernie's Patio Bar for a day filled with delicious gumbo, live music, and good vibes. This year our event is co-sponsored by the Alamo Chapter of Southern University Alumni Association. The home campus , located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is one of the oldest and only HBCU that has 3 seperate campuses in Louisiana. Get ready to taste some of the best gumbos in town as local award winning Chefs showcase their menus. We have Food Trucks for you to enjoy.

Jewell's Cajun and Southern Cusine and Sauce, both Louisiana Food trucks won1st and 2nd place respectively at the Taste of New Orleans held here during Fiesta. Tasty Balls is back with Chef Roy providing those delicious entree's, Anna's will have the Italian menu and also returning will be the HTea0 truck to bring you the most delicious variations of tea to enjoy. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere, grab a drink from the bar and dance to the tunes of the best DJ from New Orleans, DJ Big Cat of OMGSounds. We also have a special guest apperance by Valerie T. Webb, who just appeared on Season 25 of THE VOICE! Don't miss out on this epic event - mark your calendars for November 9th, Gumbofest 2024! This is a family friendly event. Children 12 and under are free.

By attending Gumbofest 2024, Your $10.00 donation will aid the Alamo Chapter in providing scholarships to graduating seniors to attend one of the three Southern University Campuses. For that contribution, we want to thank you in advance and we cannot wait for you to come and enjoy the festivites.
