Gumbalaya Cook-off 2026Join us for the most exciting event of the year!
The Gumbalaya Cook-off 2026 is happening at Affiliated Blind of Louisiana on West Saint Mary Boulevard in Lafayette, LA, USA. Get ready to indulge in a delightful blend of gumbo and jambalaya flavors that will make your taste buds dance! We will have visually impaired chefs, judges and participants. This event is about bringing awareness to the Visually Impaired community. Come and check it out and have a great time with Sauce Picayune the Gator.
Doors open at 1:00 pm. Adults are $15 for all you can eat gumbo and jambalaya. Kids 6-12 are $10. Kids 6 and under are free. Drink tickets are available for purchase. We will have music from Iris Callegan and special guest Danielle Parisi, face painting, fun jump and games. Come out and support Blind Grace and check out some great food!
Want to join the fun as a chef? Entry free is $50 or $90 for both gumbo and Jambalaya or pastalaya. Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners in each category including Fan Favorite. Teams are responsible for providing their own supplies including set up, food etc. We will provide rice, spoons and bowls. Fill out the form is you are interested!
