Pure Lagos will be the host site of this historic gathering to celebrate all the children of Mother Africa and our art and culture.
Friday evening at 6 pm, the reunion will begin with a booksigning and histo-musical presentation by Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation .
Saturday from Noon to 3 pm, join Gullah/Geechee Master Sweetgrass Artists, Andrea Cayetano of Gullah Sweetgrass Baskets and Queen Quet & De Gullah Cunneckshun as they present on the history, music, language and culture of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and they show how this links back to the Motherland.
Food, health drinks, art and books will be on sale Friday and Saturday.
Bring your drums and an open and joyfilled spirit as we unite in celebration!
