Join us at the Fremont Main Library for a special fun filled Gujarati Storytime! Celebrate Navaratri with us by learning to Garba.Come and enjoy stories and rhymes in Gujarati and learn to Garba during this Navaratri season.
Garba is the traditional dance that originated in the state of Gujarat, India and is performed in a circle. The dance is characterized by its rhythmic clapping, vibrant clothing, and lively music. Traditionally, Garba is performed during the nine nights of Navratri, but it can also be seen at various festivals and celebrations throughout the year.
If possible, do come dressed in vibrant clothing to celebrate this occasion.
This program will be most enjoyable for children ages 2-5. All are welcome.
Caregivers / Parents must be present to engage with their children during the program as we learn and explore together!
No Registration required. Seats are limited and a ticket is required to attend the event. Free event tickets will be handed at the Children's Service Desk, 15 min prior to the start of the program.
