Whether or not you’ve heard of Val McCallum, you’ve undoubtedly heard his work. Val is a supremely talented guitarist, singer, songwriter and studio musician who got his start recording for the legendary songwriter Harry Nilsson at age 18. After 30 years of working with such artists as Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams, The Wallflowers, Shelby Lynne , Gregg Allman and countless others, Val started releasing his own solo records .
At the End of the Day in 2012, Chateauguay in 2019 and Beau Bow de Lune in 2021, which he co-wrote with songwriter Bow Thayer.
Val is also known as guitarist Beaushit and is part of the terrific LA band Jackshit .
Val will be joined by Michael Landau on guitar ,Scott Thurston on bass and vocals , James Cruce on drums .
Michael Landau
Guitarist Michael Landau was born and raised in Los Angeles. He received a Grammy in 2018 as a member of the Steve Gadd Band, and as a prolific studio guitarist he has appeared on more than 700 albums since the 1980’s. Session highlights include: Pink Floyd, Miles Davis, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Tim McGraw and Rod Stewart. He has shared the stage in band projects with Robben Ford, Jimmy Herring, Wayne Krantz, Kirk Fletcher and Steve Gadd, as well as touring for many years with James Taylor and Joni Mitchell in the 1980’s. Landau also has many releases under his name, the latest being the critically acclaimed ‘Liquid Quartet Live’ on Mascot Records. His music flows seamlessly from beautiful ballads with improvisation, to heavy rock ‘n’ roll with vocals.
Kirk Fletcher plugs in his guitar and lets out the weight of the world. With every string bend and sustained vocal, the Los Angeles-born and Nashville-based singer, guitarist, and producer summons the spirit of classic Blues spun with his own fresh fire.
It’s why he’s been tapped to complement everyone from Joe Bonamassa to The Fabulous Thunderbirds on stage or in the studio. It’s why he’s received several nominations for the Blues Music Award. It’s why he’s covered Living Blues Magazine and incited the applause of Guitar World, Guitar Player, Guitar and more. It’s why he’s amassed a beloved solo discography streamed millions of times
