On Saturday May 17 at 7:30 pm, we welcome Steve Gibb, an acclaimed fingerpicking guitarist and composer, who will perform at All Saints' Episcopal Church at 559 Park Avenue in Scotch Plains, NJ.A native of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, Steve Gibb is a soulful and outstandingly skilled solo fingerstyle guitarist with beautiful compositional skills. Classically trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, he has performed with a noteworthy range of musical artists including Ertha Kitt, Petula Clark, to Meatloaf, to name a few. His compositions have been featured widely in television and film. He has played in hit musicals in London's West End and on Broadway. His lauded albums include The Boatman (2021), Island of Woods (2023), and Circle of Lights (2024). As in his performances, in all of these albums you can hear a depth, beauty, and elegance, but also a sense of fun. For its outstanding acoustics and its comfortable setting, Steve will perform in the church, built in late 19th century, a perfect complement to Steve's playing. He will perform two 40-minute sets with an intermission, during which we'll serve refreshments in our hall.
