Join us at the Portsmouth Public Library on Sunday March 30 for a free classical guitar concert featuring Duo Molinos: Dan Acsadi, guitar, and Leticia Prieto Alvarez, voice, viola. Registration is not required, but space is limited so arrive early to secure a seat. Free and all are welcome!
About the Performers
Ms. Alvarez (viola & piano) and Mr. Acsadi (guitar) met while studying at the New England Conservatory in 2003. She arrived from Spain with a Fulbright Scholarship to do a masters-level viola performance degree at NEC and discovered the fascinating world of music therapy. She has since earned a second master’s degree in expressive art therapy from Lesley University and is now a licensed mental health counselor. Passionate about music’s effect on the brain and its power to build connections. Leticia is now a Music Therapist and the Memory Care Program Manager at Assisted Living at NewBridge on the Charles.
Born in Hungary, Daniel Acsadi is a performer, teacher, and arts administrator. Dan holds doctoral and master’s degrees from New England Conservatory and a BA from Cornell University, where he double majored in music and economics. Dan is a former Director of the Boston Classical Guitar Soiciety where he commissioned new works from acclaimed composers. Dan strives to build community through the power of music and is currently the Director of the Concord Community Music School in Concord NH.

Guitar Sundays is a series of monthly free concerts that showcase a rich lineup of guitar talent from New Hampshire and the greater Boston area. The program is co-presented by Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC) and Portsmouth Public Library, in association with the Boston Classical Guitar Society and curated by Mitch Shuldman.
This series is free and open to the public and audiences of all ages! The location alternates between PMAC and the library, so please read the event listings for details.
