Unlock your guitar potential with Barb Heller: Master the art of picking and elevate your playing to new heights. In the first session you’ll learn the mechanics and basic theory of fingerpicking. You must have some facility with chording a guitar. Please bring your own guitar. There is one registration which includes two sessions and attendees are strongly encouraged attend both.Barb Heller has been playing guitar for over 50 years, and taught students how to fingerpick for decades. Once you understand the basics it’s simple! This will be a fun class with lots of opportunity to practice what you’ve learned - and to make new musical friends!
To many in the north country, Barb Heller is known as the longtime host of String Fever Bluegrass on North Country Public Radio. She's been playing and singing for most of her life; writes and performs her own songs, accompanies other performers, and has worked with many groups around the north country over the last four decades.
