Hello Everyone!Our next in-person meeting will be next Tuesday, October 7th from 7-9 PM at the Annapolis Elks Lodge. Dinner and beverages are available for individual purchase (cash only) from the Elks between the hours of 5-7 PM. Please remember that our servers are all volunteers and we should jump in and help bus our tables!
Our program for this month is Ladderback Jacquard presented by our very own Lee Turowski!
Lee will be demonstrating the Ladderback Jacquard technique while showing us how to knit a mug cozy!
You will need to accomplish the pre-class work by knitting a few rounds using the directions below.
MUG COZY: LADDERBACK JACQUARD
YARN: DK or Worsted in two contrasting colors (dark and light): 40-50 yards of each color
MC: Light color
CC: Dark color
NEEDLES: US 5 (DK yarn) and US 6 (Worsted yarn) - 12” circular or longer circular for magic loop or double pointed needles
NOTIONS: stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needles
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 48 stitches in MC
Place marker for beginning of round and join in the round
*Knit 2, Purl 2, repeat from * to end of round
Repeat ribbing for 2 more rounds (3 rounds total)
Round 1: Knit all stitches
