📣ANNOUNCING THE 2025 GUILD BUILDERS WORKSHOPS...starting this Saturday!🎭🎭🎭
The Actors Guild of Parkersburg is excited to announce that we will be starting a new season of Workshops for our Guild Builders Program. Our Guild Builders Program is designed to encourage students to learn about and participate in theatre. To participate you must be 9 years old by November 8, 2025, and no older than 18 by March 15, 2026. These Workshops will be held at the Actors Guild, 724 Market Street, on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon for 8 weeks beginning on Saturday. September 6, 2025, and continuing through Saturday, October 25.
Each week will focus on different topics such as the basics of acting, makeup and hair, scenic design, dancing, singing, props, costumes, improv, and tech theatre. These classes will be taught by members of the Guild and invited guests. This year we are excited to introduce puppetry workshops and will learn how to build puppets that will be used in our Guild Builders production of Disney’s Finding Nemo, Jr.
We encourage anyone interested in theatre, whether first-timers or seasoned performers, to attend these informative and fun morning workshops. Even though there will be no charge for these workshops, we ask that parents sign their children up in advance so that we will have compete information before workshops begin. Following this series of workshops, there will be a special workshop on Saturday, November 1, specifically on preparing to audition for Disney’s Finding Nemo, Jr. Auditions for that production will be held on November 8, 9 & 10, 2025, with show dates February 27 – March 15, 2026. Auditions are open to anyone in the fourth to twelfth grades. It is not necessary to attend the Guild Bulder Workshops to audition for the show.
