Join us for our last walk of the year, open to all, free of charge and no need to book. This walk of about 7 Km will follow the Afon Llwyd valley from the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre to the edge of Waunavon Bog via Garn Lakes nature reserve. The route is not particularly strenuous and follows paths and tracks, which may be muddy. Boots and appropriate clothing are recommended. Along the way, we will learn about the industrial history of the valley and see how a wasteland has been transformed into a thriving reserve and public open space.
At the top of our route we’ll pause at the Whistle Inn for refreshment for anyone who wishes.
