About this Event

The park’s array of native and exotic tree specimens provide food, shelter and nesting sites for birds as they travel across Auckland. Learn more about the role of trees as a habitat for birdlife with tree expert Dr Mike Wilcox and BirdsNZ member Beth Gibbs.


Come along with your tree and bird questions at the ready!


Dress for the weather conditions, wear sturdy shoes and bring a drink bottle.


Registration is essential and numbers are limited. Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements. No dogs are permitted on this walk.

10am - 11am (Walk may run longer than one hour)

Location: Start from Huia Lodge Discovery Hub (next to the Cornwall Park Bistro).Vehicle access from Green Lane West park gates.
