Guided Walk - Ghoulies and Ghosties of Clydach Gorge

A Calan Gaeaf (Halloween) walk introducing some local folklore about spooks etc. and visiting some reputedly “haunted” locations.
The First of November is Calan Gaeaf, traditionally the first day of winter. The night before is celebrated as Nos Galan Gaeaf. It's said that this was descended from the pagan feast of Samhain, the last night of the old Celtic year, but there's really no strong evidence for this.
Our walk starts by heading across the Clydach Gorge to Llanelli Church and then to Maesygwartha before following the river downstream and returning round the lower slopes of Gilwern Hill. The walk of about 10.5 Km follows roads and paths that may be uneven and muddy. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential!
