Join us for a gentle guided walk from the iconic Souter Lighthouse. This walk is perfect if you’ve only got an hour or prefer a shorter distance. Learn about the intriguing history of the area, including the ‘lost village’ of Marsden. Along the way, spot a variety of wildlife and plants. Keep an eye out for sea birds and learn more about the nature-rich coastal grasslands.
This event is free, no need to book. Donations are very welcome and will go directly towards caring for Souter Lighthouse, its coastline, heritage and wildlife.
Meet at the Souter Lighthouse Café. Please wear sturdy footwear and clothing to suit the weather.
Both walk routes are around 2.5 miles/4km long and should take around an hour. The routes include uneven terrain. There is an accessible toilet and a Changing Places at Souter Lighthouse, where the walk begins.
Children are welcome, must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs are welcome, on a lead please.
