About this Event
Cornwall Park is a favourite spot for many different species of native and introduced birds, all with their own unique song and personality. This guided walk will provide an introduction to many of the birds that can be seen in the park, their origins, and information on how to best identify them. Top tip: Bring a pair of binoculars if you have some!
Registration is essential and numbers are limited.
Please dress for the weather conditions, wear sturdy shoes and bring a drink bottle. Please note the walk will go through paddocks where you will need to climb stiles and walk off paths. No dogs are permitted on this walk.
Masks are required for the introduction while inside Huia Lodge, but not required for the outdoor component of the walk. If you feel more comfortable wearing them the whole time, we support your decision.
The walk is hosted by Ian McLean from Birds New Zealand. www.birdsnz.org.nz
