About this Event

This tour lasting approx one hour will explain the history of the Memorial, some of the major artists who contributed to it and why it is still relevant today. The Memorial is a small, independent charity and relies upon public donations. The tour is free, but donations are encouraged and extremely welcome.

The Memorial is situated within Edinburgh Castle, and access is via some steep cobbled paths. Suitable footwear is advised. Please note that admission to the Castle is NOT included with the tour booking, and should be booked separately via https://www.edinburghcastle.scot/plan-your-visit/tickets. The castle precincts may be closed owing to bad weather or events. A minimum of five participants is required for the tour to run. The Memorial will be open to the public during the tour. Photography is NOT permitted inside the Memorial. 24hrs notice will be given in the event of a cancellation due to lack of numbers.
