deCordova stands as a globally renowned center for the exhibition and interpretation of modern and contemporary outdoor sculpture. You are invited to tour deCordova Sculpture Park, led by our deCordova tour guide, to embark on a deeper exploration of this immersive experience which consistently showcases approximately 60 sculptures.
Spanning the entire deCordova campus with 30 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns, forests, fields, gardens, and terraces along Flint’s Pond in Lincoln, Massachusetts, this collection enriches the outdoor environment with diverse artistic expressions. Engage in vibrant conversations that delve into various aspects, including artists, art-making processes, materials, and the institution’s rich history. Participants have the opportunity to inquire about their favorite sculptures, discover new acquisitions, and gain insights into the campus’s evolution—from the sculpting forces of glaciers to the remarkable transformation of Julien and Lizzie deCordova’s home into a Sculpture Park and Museum. Be sure to check out the museum store and café before heading back to the bus to go home!
