About this Event
In this guided tour, visitors discover the voices and perspectives of individuals who have shaped history in Washington, DC from 1900-2000. A Bold and Beautiful Vision exhibition tells the story of everyday African American life while highlighting how artist-educators made the city a center for Black arts education despite an underfunded, overcrowded, and segregated school system. Visitors will examine artworks, participate in close-looking activities, and contribute to inquiry-based discussions.
